The City of Cortez Public Arts Advisory Committee and the LOR Foundation are excited to offer $1-$4,000 grants for arts projects that make Cortez an amazing place to call home.
This is an advance grant payment with no match requirement. If you're solving a problem in a creative, artistic way—any medium is welcome—make it happen!
Grant Categories
Tiny Grant
$1 - $499Perfect for small community projects, art installations, or creative interventions that add beauty and connection to our town.
Micro Grant
$500 - $1,499Ideal for medium-scale projects like community murals, performances, art shows, or creative events that engage neighbors.
Small Grant
$1,500 - $4,000For ambitious projects that transform spaces, launch new traditions, or bring innovative artistic experiences to Cortez.

What Makes a Great Project?
- Makes Cortez an amazing place to call home
- Produces something tangible that can be seen, felt, or experienced
- Engages the broader community
- Brings something new, innovative, and unique to Cortez
- Benefits the community and is provided at no cost to spectators/viewers
- Can include supplies, contracted work, rental costs, murals, community events, performances, children's art shows, and more
